Centrifugal Fan for industrial applications
Centrifugal fans are used if applications need higher pressure with the same or higher airflow than axial fans. A centrifugal blower draws in the air through the inlet axially (in parallel) to the drive axle, deflects the airflow 90 degrees through the rotation of the impellers and extracts it radially.
The airflow is extracted in a specific direction with blowers with a spiral housing. A centrifugal fan without a housing extracts the air radially out of the impeller with curved blades. Centrifugal blowers cover the widest performance range of Elektror industrial fans and blowers with a maximum of 600,000 m³/h and 35,000 Pa. The Elektror product range of standard radial blowers includes conveying blowers, plug fans and Atex fans. We also offer a huge range of accessories like dampers, airfoils, frequency converters and many more.
Centrifugal Blower for low pressure ranges
We offer many centrifugal blowers mostly with backward curved blades (partially drum impellers) made of aluminium, steel and stainless steel as low pressure blowers up to 8,000 Pa. The ND, CFL and ND-ATEX series are based on the standard principle of squirrel cage blowers. Ventilators in the CFLD series draw in the air on both sides and are able to circulate extremely high airflows (up to 600,000 m³/h).
All radial plug fans have the abbreviation PFL for the low pressure range. These blowers with open impellers and no housing are ideally suited to integrated applications. A centrifugal blower can have a direct drive, coupling drive or belt drive depending on the series. Many blowers and fans can also be operated with a frequency converter.
Centrifugal fans for medium pressure ranges
Radial fans and blowers from the RD, S-MP, CFM and RD-ATEX Elektror series are designed as medium pressure blower up to 17,500 Pa and generate pressures and air flow with backward curved impellers and blades made of aluminium, steel and stainless steel.
Our RDF and CFMT conveying blowers are also the product of radial engineering. They convey air and light bulk material with open conveying impellers. This model is made of steel and stainless steel.
The freewheeling radial blower has the abbreviation PFM for medium pressure. These blowers with open impellers and no housing are ideally suited to integrated applications. A squirrel cage fan can has a direct drive, coupling drive or belt drive depending on the series. Many blowers and fans can also be operated with a frequency converter.
Centrifugal Blower for high pressure ranges
High pressure centrifugal fans are used if high pressures are required. We can generate high pressures by increasing the velocity of the radial fan. Frequency converters or a belt transmission can be used to increase the velocity (see also page “High Pressure Blower”). The HRD-FU/FUK, HRD-FU-ATEX and CFH series are regulated with frequency converters. The HRD and CFH centrifugal fan series work with a belt transmission. We deliver some of the HRD series blowers without a motor. Our customers can therefore use an external drive. For high pressure and ventilation requirements we can use our high rotating centrifugal blowers in the HRD-BOOSTED, S-XP and CFXH series, which can be operated with high frequency converters and high velocity.
High efficient Radial Fan
We offer our high efficiency centrifugal fans in the S-HE series for environmentally friendly plant operation.
These energy efficient squirrel fans have precise operating points and improved efficiency factors. Among other things, special bladed and curved impellers increase the efficient factor by 70%.
Centrifugal fans made of aluminum, steel or stainless steel
Elektror radial fans have a wide range of applications because they are available in various materials. The ND, RD, RDF, HRD-FU/FUK, HRD-BOOSTED, ND-ATEX, RD-ATEX and HRD-FU-ATEX series have a housing made of aluminum casting. The solid and robust cast housing gives the centrifugal fan a high level of stability and makes it corrosion-resistant. The centrifugal blowers in the S-MP, S-XP, S-HE, CFL, CFM, CFH, CFXH, CFLD, CFMT, PFL, PFM series have painted, galvanised and powder coated steel/stainless steel housings. All parts that come into contact with the medium like the rotor, blade and impeller are also made of stainless steel. All stainless blowers are resistant to corrosion.
Exploxion protected ATEX Centrifugal Blowers
In addition, our radial blowers are available as ATEX blowers on request. We offer explosion proof ATEX versions for all series in our centrifugal fan range. ATEX fans are designed to exclude thermal, mechanic and electric risk factors, which can result in an explosion when they come into contact with an explosive or flammable atmosphere. These ND-ATEX and HRD-FU-ATEX series have standard explosion protection.
