This time, the trainees collected a total of 750 Euro for the association to support children with cancer
Every year, a Christmas raffle for employees is organised at Elektror airsystems gmbh in Ostfildern, with all proceeds going to charity.
The organisation and execution of the raffle as well as the decision of what charity will receive the proceeds lies completely in the hands of the office trainees of the blower manufacturer.Last year, a total of 700 Euro were collected and donated to the cancer charity “Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder e.V.”.This year, the trainees were especially ambitious and raised 50 Euro more than in the previous year.
Which charity will receive the amount of 750 Euro was already clear when the cheque was handed over in January 2012.At that time, the trainees were already extremely impressed by the work and strong engagement of the charity, which is why they decided to support them this year as well.
The two proud trainees, Agnieszka Sacher and Kim Wezel, handed over the second cheque to the “Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder e.V.” on February 4, 2013.Ms Hoffmann, chairwoman of the charity, was of course happy to accept the cheque and was extremely grateful for an additional year of financial support.A subsequent tour of the parents' home gave the trainees an insight into the daily lives of the families that live there."It is nice, to see not just suffering and sorrow, but also hope in the eyes of the children and parents," Agnieszka Sacher said:"Out donation will help where it is really needed. That is why we also want to support this charity financially in the coming year."
The “Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder e.V.”
This charity was set up to provide support and care for children, parents and siblings while a child with cancer is in the hospital. The focus is on minimising the geographic distance between the parents and their child in this difficult time and to create a “temporary home”.This is the main reason why many foreign children with cancer and their parents are happy to draw on this support.
In addition, the charity supports the clinic in Tübingen both personally as well as financially and supports the family even after the clinical treatments are concluded.« retour
